#1 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Forever Lovely Layered Stamping
Happy Saturday everyone!
My card today is all about layering stamps to create a background for a sentiment.
I adore our DistINKtive stamps and the extreme detail on them, but I love that you can layer darker colours over the paler ones and have that create the sentiment panel.
This is a 2 step stamp, so I laid down the blue of the flowers first – confession time – I clearly didn’t clean my stamps properly last time I used them, because although that’s Seaside Spray, there’s a hint of purple peeping through. oops…
But colour aside, I laid down the blue, then came in with the second stamp and used Soft Sea Foam for some pale leaves around it.
I love that kind of effect!
With the sentiment at the bottom, I stamped the flowers twice and then used Blueberry Bushel over the top.
It felt that it needed a little more, so I used a scattering of pearls around the top flowers and I think that works well!
Have you tried this technique before?

Sam, I love all your creative videos, but your cards are always so “washed out” appearing. Is it the lighting? Am I the only one who feels this way?
