#1 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Cards in the Mail to Me, April 2020
It’s the first weekend of the month and as ever, I have a great collection of projects to show you where people have posted cards and gifts to me.
It’s a real struggle right now to find a quiet moment in the house to film videos (as I type this, I’m preparing myself to do some midnight filming for next week’s projects), so rather than bring these beautiful creations to you on a video, I grabbed my phone and snapped some pictures at my desk.
I’m doing a little experimenting with my photography right now, and I’m curious to see how these translate on the ‘big screen’ rather than simply onto Instagram which is where I put this styled photo normally, so I would love to hear your thoughts.
But that aside, I have to say an enormous thank you to all those people who’ve sent me cards, and those with wonderful and touching messages about my beloved Fennel who passed away a couple of days before Easter. It has hit me quite hard and the wonderful cards, emails, messages and PMs have reiterated just what a wonderful community we are in.
With much love, and gratitude to the lovely folk who’ve sent cards to me, enjoy!

Hi Sam,
The photo’s look great!
So sorry to hear about Fennel, it is never easy when we loose a furry member of our family. I lost my beloved Smudge over 2 years ago and I still miss her, but now remember the funny things she got up to and I still find now and again one of her hairs in my craft room that makes me smile. She was always with me in my room and always managed to jump on my desk at a vital moment!
I truly feel your sorrow and send you a virtual hug (((( ))))
Stay safe x
First of all, so sorry about Fennel — I did not know!! The photos are great but I prefer the mouvement of the videos and listening while you explain BUT we are living different days these days!!!!
Dear Sam,
I am so sorry to hear about Fennel – I wasn’t aware that you had lost her, it is impossible to explain how much I feel for you, but I know what it is like having always had various cats luckily never lost one without having other to help with the loss, it’s always hard though.
The photo’s are good, but as others have said it is the chat that I missed but times are different and it is sometimes good to change things up a bit – good practice for your photography.
Keep well, keep safe and carry on !!
Coping with the death of a pet is so much harder than that of a person, I don’t know why.
So love and hugs..

So Sorry about your furry pet, I love the Sending Sunshine and wondered is the leaves a Stampin Up stamp?
It’s hard to find a stamp that makes leaves look real

The photos are good and very clear; I also like the blurred background, nice touch. Thanks for sharing the cards, although your videos are always welcome.
Sorry for the loss of your furry friend; I know it must be hard to lose a part of your family.
Aloha,
Zeny
Hi Sam, I am sorry for your loss of Fennel. When I lost my darling cat, Muffin, I cried every time an ad came on TV with cats in them. I really like hearing you in your wonderful videos showing us the fantastic things you do. Stay safe & sane as you work with all your distractions.
Hi Sam and family, I am so sorry to read about Fennel. I am sure the kittens are doing their best to comfort you. I love the photos. You are a lady of many talents.
Kia kaha (be strong in Maori) and lots of love from New Zealand

I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your beautiful Fennel. It’s hard to lose one of the family. Whatever you do and however you do it is always appreciated. You give so much that it’s just good to see an email from you. Of course, I love hearing your voice and accent, but you do what you have to do during these crazy times!
