#1 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – A Bright Verdant Garden Quick Card
I love to create cards with the stamped detail around the edges (and sometimes on the card base itself) and I love to work with Wink of Stella to wash out the colours a bit, so today I am mixing up the 2 techniques.
The Verdant Garden stamp set has this lovely trailing ivy type design on it and that was great to lay down in the background with Shaded Spruce ink.
While the ink was still damp, I used my wink of stella to soften the leaves a little and wash out the colour. It’s such a great technique.
With the single floral bud image, I just randomly stamped a trio of them with Melon Mambo on to the card and again used wink of stella to blend out the colour.
I took a few minutes to decide on the colour for the greeting, but I definitely feel that Pacific Point blue was just right.
Easy and simple and I love the look and with a little scatter of rhinestones, it’s just right

What stamp set did the Birthday greeting come from? Love it.
Beautiful card…as always! And it pairs beautifully with that birthday greeting which is one on my “go to” stamps for a bday greeting! Now if my preorder would ever show up (hopefully by the end of this week???) I will happily make some “cased” bday cards!
