#1 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Peony Dies Card – So Easy!
Well there is a real chance that I was a little intimidated by the Peony Dies that are part of the Prized Peony Bundle and the Peony Garden suite. And if you were too, that’s ok, but honestly, once I die cut the parts, it was so easy to put together.
Each flower needs 4 interlocking pieces, but saying ‘interlocking’ is also intimidating. Basically, there are 4 dies that have ‘slots’ cut out and the bottom of each of the 4 pieces is exactly the same shape.
You fit them inside one another, a little like russian dolls in that the smallest goes inside the next one above it, they both slot inside the next one and then those 3 all fit inside the largest.
I will do a video for you if you’d like, but I am showing a close up of the flower so that you can see the bottom of them where there are a couple of layers peeping a little from the angle of the photo. That shows you that they all match and as long as you’re going smallest to largest and matching that bit up, you’re good to go!
And here’s another bit of proof that it is super easy, I wanted to test it out first and grabbed a piece of scrap cardstock on my desk from a past project. It was coastal cabana (not my favourite blue), and I’d thought, well I’ll have a bash on that and then if I mess it up, I can do it again on another colour.
I didn’t need to!
I didn’t mess up and that’s how easy it is!
I just added a black stamen and some shaded spruce leaves and mounted it all onto toning bermuda bay cardstock and pool party dsp
So don’t be fearful of the dies, they’re easy to use and create a beautiful peony.
I hope you enjoyed this project, I absolutely adore what I do and spend many hours working on designs, new projects, new ideas and more.
