So I guess most of you know that I am owned by cats and have done since birth. Yes, there has always been a cat (or more!) in my life, and I couldn’t imagine life without feline friends padding their paws across my heart.

I lost my beloved Fennel at 16 years old right at the start of Lockdown, and instinct once again had me colouring this cat grey, without even thinking about it. I think it will be some time before I think to pick up a different colour.

But I did change it up and added some spots to her. You may not be familiar with the Savannah breed, but my Sorrel is a Savannah and she is definitely spotty!

Fennel was an all grey coloured Blue Burmese whereas Berry is a Glittered Rosetted Bengal, with Sorrel as a Charcoal Savannah. Their colours are all so different, and while my cartoon cat isn’t exactly like Sorrel, you get the idea!

I love this set, and bittersweet is it to suddenly remember Fennel, it’s kept my heart open and warm to all felines.
