#1 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Love of Leaves Customer Thank You Cards
You have no idea just how proud I am as a Mum right now. And as a demonstrator actually….
In the middle of July, my eldest son Jack could see that I was getting a little overwhelmed with trying to juggle work, family, schooling etc, and he could see it was just getting on top of me.
So he came to my office one day and asked what he could do to help me.
There isn’t a great deal of my job that I can hand over to anyone, so since I first became a demo, I have done it all aspects of my job by myself, bar the occasions when the family all muck in to pack catalogues or gift packs.
But for the first time, I felt it was right to have him help me on a more creative level.
As you’ve seen in the past, Jack is particularly creative, so I asked him if he felt he could make all my customer thank you cards if I designed one for him to work to.
Well, without going into the background, I’m delighted to share that all the cards that went in the post last week were made entirely by him. Yes, that’s 160+ cards that he stamped by hand and punched and rhinestoned and more.
We did have a tiny lane swerve at the end when we realised I didn’t have anywhere near enough ribbon to create the loop you see in this photo here, but otherwise, every single card was created by him.
So this is a really big deal for me that as a Mum, my son has seen that I needed help, but he didn’t wait to be asked, he just offered. And as a demonstrator, while I can’t see myself ever handing this over on a permanent basis, (I love stamping them myself too much and it’s such a privilege to have so many!), it’s nice to know that if and when I need some help, he is there able to help.
much love, Sam, and of course, Jack too.
xx
I hope you enjoyed this project, I absolutely adore what I do and spend many hours working on designs, new projects, new ideas and more.

Aww Sam what a lovely caring son you have Jack has done a marvellous job in making the cards for you Well done Jack and for looking after your mum xx
Sam, You have every reason to be proud of your son. Well done! Jack. You are a very caring humanbeing.
We need more people like Jack in this world. What a heartwarming story, thank you for all you do and for sharing. Be proud of how you have raised your sons.
Hi Sam. How adorable. Actions sometimes speak louder than words and remind us what is truly important in life. Treasure their childhood times they are very precious and end in the blink of an eye. But my experience is that they grow up to be amazing adults and this is then your time to sit back and see what a great job you have both made in guiding them. Have a lovely weekend.
That’s lovely you make a great team
A true test of the outcome of good parenting! Celebrate the fact you’ve done a great job with your family. Love the card too!
Oh Sam, how wonderful. This brought tears running down my cheeks as I write, what a treasure of a son you have. You truly are a great mother to your boys and an amazing crafter, sharing it together with them.. What a lovely card too! ❤
That is awesome. I know how proud of him and all your boys you are. It makes you feel like you have done a good job raising them.
Jack you did an amazing job.
How awesome is that? He did a super job and such a nice young man to help you out like that!!! You have some really super sons and I hope they continue to bless you in all they do in their lives. Enjoy each and every one of them and what they do, they will be grown up and gone before you know it. I have 3 sons and have that now!
You must be so proud of Jack.
Please know that all of your hard work Sam is much appreciated.
Hugs to you and Jack.
Lovely card well done to your son. It was a lovely surprise waiting for me when I got home from my camping holiday x
Those are the moments that literally “warm” the heart! You are blessed!❤

This does not come as a surprise to me Sam! Though you are so right to feel proud of your son, as he is such a thoughtful and caring son! Along with enjoying your talented creations and tutorials, i have also enjoyed hearing about your lovely family of males – you all seem to work so well together and make work seem like fun! Long may that last! Very best wishes to all of you and special congratulations to Jack on those excellent cards!
