#1 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – How To Make a Flocked Vellum Envelope
There is a little part of me that wishes we still had our envelope punch board, not least when I get comments on old video tutorials, but also because it would be nice to create bespoke sized envelopes.
But today I have a video that came out as a sort of happy accident.
Our new Plush Poinsettia Speciality Paper (AKA Flocked Vellum!) is just gorgeous, but I didn’t want to hide it away as a little extra on a card or box, no no. I wanted it as the star of the show!
So I cut myself a piece of 6×6 paper and started gently rolling and bending, and then I had a flash of inspiration. What if I could make an envelope with it by cutting little divots out with a punch.
Well, I’m pleased to say that it worked and I now have a great envelope that could house a 4×4″ card (10 x 10cm) that you make, or perhaps you could create a voucher yourself as a gift – free babysitting, a date night, a hotpot meal etc – and now you have the perfect packaging for it.
Note – learn from my bloopers and don’t use wet glue… who knew vellum didn’t like it? (ok ok, you probably all knew and it’s just me…!)
And I hope you like my little tip with the sponge dauber and a little ink on the plush parts. It’s a great way to change up the colour of your vellum!
Have a fabulous day everyone, and get making your vellum envelopes too!
I hope you enjoyed this project, I absolutely adore what I do and spend many hours working on designs, new projects, new ideas and more.
