#1 Stampin’ Up! UK Demonstrator Pootles – Warm Hugs and a Little Tartan Trim
I have lots of men in my life – 4 sons, my husband, Dad, brothers, nephews (and 2 nieces!) and I like to think of them when I’m making some of my cards.
I wanted a more masculine Christmas Card, so I went with the Warm Hugs stamp set and took inspiration from the catalogue samples.
The little icons and motifs are ideal for background stamping and I did tone on tone crumb cake on the background, picking out a few to colour with a little Shade Spruce.
The tartan paper from the Plaid Tidings pack had lovely rich colours so I used the matching Cherry Cobbler ink for the circle and another Shaded Spruce tree in the centre.
I didn’t need to die cut it, instead I used my 1-1/2″ circle punch to cut it.
We have a very large and wide ribbon in the mini catalogue, and I haven’t really used it very much, so I made a conscious decision today to add it as a strip for interest.
I love how it looks and I hope that it’s masculine enough for the men in my life!
