#1 Stampin’ Up! UK Demonstrator Pootles – Poinsettia Petals in Alternative Colours
I like to craft and colour with alternative colours to those that are in nature, but when I pulled out the Poinsettia Petals stamp set to make a card, I decided to google the colours, other than red, that they form in nature.
The result I got was that there are over 100 natural shades of poinsettia, but it then expressly said “except blue which is a forced colour”
Well, that was like a challenge thrown down to me and I grabbed it with both hands!
I have pool party, bermuda bay, night of navy, pretty peacock and seaside spray on my card, and I really don’t mind that they’re ‘unnatural’
I used blends as I love that they do create a realistic look, even if the blue isn’t so much.
Now, who else has coloured their poinsettias in alternative colours?
