#1 Stampin’ Up! UK Demonstrator Pootles – Hello Dear Friend – Great Kit for Beginners
Are you a fan of kits? Do you buy them for yourself, or perhaps give them as gifts?
I often buy them, but forget to remember I have them, so this month, I decided to change that.
You’ll perhaps have noticed that I’ve mentioned my eldest son Jack a few times over this month, well in recent months, he’s been helping me out a bit more in my office.
As a final year 6th form student, he is home schooling right now, but he also has free periods of time too. So he has been helping out with various aspects of what I do in my office – putting your thank you packs together, suggesting colour collections, even some stamping!
It’s nice to have some company in the office, yes, the whole family are at home right now, but even with the hustle and bustle of them around the house, it’s nice to have someone to chatter to while I work.
So with Jack’s assistance readily available, I handed him the box that this kit is sent in and asked him to put together 1 of each card.
He was a little concerned at first glance, and then asked for inks, supplies, blocks, glues etc, but I told him every single thing he needed was in the box.
Marginally sceptical, he took it to his bedroom and just 20 minutes later, he was downstairs having completed all 4!
And although he does help in the office, he’s never done anything like this before and I felt it a good challenge to see how he got on.
His only comment was that he had trouble with the bows…. I guess that he takes after me with that too.
So, on his recommendation, he feels this is a great kit for a new crafter, someone who perhaps fancies a new hobby or just wants to see a little of what we’re about.
Great job Jack!

Well done Jack, i think you may need to put him on the payroll and as for bows, how can we expect young people these days to tie bows? – everything is velcro! They’re very pretty Sam – i never thought of a kit as a present but i am now!
He did a great job with those cards!
And it’s amazing that he is interested in what you’re doing and even tries it by himself.
You’re starting to have concurrence in your own 4 walls, beware 😉
Great job Jack very nice … Did I spot a pootle loop there❤️
Hi from Canada, I was curious about the velum with the black lines to make it look like leaded glass, does it come that way or did you do your magic to create it?
Hi from Australia. Jack you show you have a very good eye for colour and design. You are an amazing young man. I know it has been very hard for you all at the moment but it is really great to hear that you are able to crack on and just do different things. All the best going forwards.
well done Jack.
Sam I love our phrase “I forget to remember I have them”. Lol
