It is Mothering Sunday here in the UK, so I have created a card for my Mum. Right now, I miss her very much, but I wanted to create a card that is very who-she-was when I was a child and who-she-is-again during the pandemic.

As a child growing up, Mum made many of my clothes and there are many photos of me in dresses she made me. She also knitted many things, jumpers, scarves, blankets and hats. And in my wardrobe here at home, I have a scarf and hat combination from around 1976 which was hers, and the mini matching scarf that belonged to 2-year old me!

And though she stopped dressmaking some time ago, the silver lining to the pandemic is that she has brought out her knitting again and is creating scarves and more scarves in so many colours and patterns.

Purple is her favourite colour, so my dress-form ha been coloured with my Stampin Write markers in our 3 shades of purple, matched with the pastel pearls and backed with in colour DSP.

I love the card, I hope she does too.
