#1 Stampin’ Up! UK Demonstrator Pootles – How To Make a Stack of Rectangular Boxes
So during today’s video, you’ll hear my little story of a slight confusion, and then a great finished result.
You’ll also hear that today is my 8th anniversary with Stampin’ Up!
8 years!
Goodness me, how time has flown from the girl who wanted to join for a discount to where I am now. I love my job so much, and as we are right at the start of the 2 week Easter Holidays from school, I adore that I can fit it around my children and home life too.
I’ve shared my story many times over, from the very very cash-strapped Christmas to the joining to get a discount and sell finished goods to the total lane-swerve to doing videos. I never take for granted anything that I have achieved, I still share projects 7 days a week, with 3 videos a week on YouTube, that’s never changed in all this time. And I don’t see it changing any time soon.
I just occasionally forget what I’m meant to be doing, as in the case of today’s project!
I’ve made many stacks in various shapes and sizes over the years, and I never complete the stack before filming, I always do the last box on camera and then fit it all together, and even now, 3 days after filming, I still can’t remember why I finished the stack off on the sample!
Mind you, I did build the sample in the middle of February, about 6 weeks ago, so you know, I think I’m allowed a poor memory moment there!
But I love how it looks, and I hope you do too!

- IMPERIAL
- Each box starts with paper that is 12″ long, and you score all of them the same at 2, 5, 7, 10″
- The width of the boxes shrink by 2″ each time, which means that the score lines on that side also change.
- They are, from largest to smallest –
- 12 x 12 – scored at 2, 10″ (finished size 2 x 3 x 8)
- 12 x 10 – scored at 2, 8″ (finished size 2 x 3 x 6)
- 12 x 8 – scored at 2, 6″ (finished size 2 x 3 x 4)
- 12 x 6 – scored at 2, 4″ (finished size 2 x 3 x 2)
- METRIC
- Each box starts with paper that is 30cm long, and you score all of them the same at 5, 12.5, 17.5, 25cm)
- The width of the boxes shrink by 5cm each time, which means that the score lines on that side also change.
- They are, from largest to smallest –
- 30 x 30 – scored at 5, 25cm (finished size 5 x 7.5 x 20)
- 30 x 25 – scored at 5, 20cm (finished size 5 x 7.5 x 15)
- 30 x 20 – scored at 5, 15cm (finished size 5 x 7.5 x 10)
- 30 x 30 – scored at 5, 10cm (finished size 5 x 7.5 x 5)
