#1 Stampin’ Up! UK Demonstrator Pootles – Stampin’ Up! A Beautiful Peach Basket for Jam Jar Treats
On Wednesday, I showcased the new Jam Jars in my embellishment/packaging video, and promised a project was coming. Well here it is!
How pretty are these little baskets with those 2 decorated jars in them.
If I’d had some small sweeties or snacks, I’d have popped them in, but funnily enough, with 4 sons in the house, snacks and sweets don’t last long…
But I’m sure you can imagine how pretty they would be!
I hope you find the project useful, and get to make some baskets too!

Sam: For some time now, I cannot have access to the items . . . I wonder why?
I am in the US and I’m not sure why it’s called canning, except that tin cans weren’t developed till later and jars were available, so maybe that’s the reason? I’m not really sure, but it’s a good question! I do “can” things like tomatoes and pickle relish and sometimes beets. That’s the best I can come up with, maybe someone has a much better, more intelligent answer!
Hi,
I am from USA and I “can” alot of things from fruit preserves to veggies. Canning is a term that means the heat process to preserve food and not the containers the food is held in. Great question!

So cute
I agree with Polly, the comment above. And “canning” is a lot of work.
Thank you for the so cute project.
Super cute project Sam. As to your question about canning. Canning is the process of preserving food. When presererving food – most of it needs to be pressure canned to kill any bacteria that might get into your food being preserved. The length of time needed to process your food will depend on your altitude. I love canning and yes it is work but so satisfying. I make my own spaghetti sauce and will make 32 quarts at a time which means I only make it once a year and then enjoy it through out. I know what is inside it and know it is not full of ingredients I don’t like. If you are interested in learning a little more, one of my favorite YouTube channels to watch is Homestead Heart. Again thank you for your cute project. I will most likely be casing it when I can get those cute jars. 🙂
Sam, this is a great project. I love making boxes and bags out of paper and yours are always such fun. I loved your question, and had no idea why the term was used. Thankfully, there are others in the US who do. I do all my “canning” in the grocery store. That is, I buy it already prepared as I am way too lazy to process any of my food. I would have made a very poor (and hungry) pioneer woman.
I so enjoy your videos and all that you create. You are so generous to share your talents with us.
