Pootles Advent Countdown 2022 #5 Gingham Penguin Christmas Card Idea – #1 Stampin’ Up! UK Demonstrator Pootles
I have to confess, the more Christmas Card ideas I can get, the better! I love to make as many as I can, and I get inspiration from everywhere. Particularly those that are a little bit simpler, and can be made in larger quantities.
So, knowing what I’m like, I guessed some of you might be like me too. And with that in mind, I decided that this month’s Thank You cards for all my lovely customers, would be a Christmas card idea for them too.
And of course, I had Oliver helping me, but this time, his next older brother, Jacob (he’s 14) also joined in on the mass punching and stamping!
Oliver was in charge of the penguins and painstakingly stamped them all, and added in beaks and bows. And then Jacob stamped and punched all the greetings for me, and then put dimensionals on the back of both punch outs.
The cutting and assembly was my job, and using the Gingham Cottage paper, with matching cardstock, well they made for lovely, if slightly unusual, Christmas cards!
I love how they came out. It wasn’t deliberate that a rainbow formed, but I love that it did!
Each card has a black base of paper and then a coloured front. And that same coloured front matched the base cardstock too.
I’m thrilled with how they came out, and with a full pack of the new red and white glimmer paper AND a pack of peekaboo treat bags, I posted them all off to my customers last week. So hopefully they’ve arrived now.
So I hope that they loved them and the gifts, and I hope you see some inspiration in my Christmas cards too!
