Using Paper Scraps For a Pretty Card – #1 Stampin’ Up! UK Demonstrator Pootles
Well, the great Use-It-Up challenge has commenced!
This is, I should add, a personal challenge to me. That one where you’re coming to the end of a catalogue and need to use up all those fiddly little bits of paper lying around!
And I thought this card looked rather nice!
I think it ‘pops’ a bit more on the Poppy Parade card, but the Fresh Freesia is more delicate!
I haven’t put a sentiment on these, I felt they could be good as a bridal card, or perhaps a bridal shower invite. But then also just a cool stack of birthday gifts for someone!
But whatever you use, I’m sure your recipient will love it!
For the method, I’m giving metric measurements below, but if you listen to the video, I explain the ‘rule’ so to speak.
If you work in imperial, your 3 paper parcels should be about 1/2″ shorter with each one and the white ‘tops’ to the parcels should be 1/2″ longer. The depth of the parcels remains the same, as do the white paper tops, and the tops should be half the depth of the paper ones.
- Paper Parcels
- 3cm in depth (1-1/2″)
- longest is 7cm (2-3/4″)
- middle is 6cm (2-1/4″)
- shortest is 5cm (1-3/4″)
- White Tops
- 1.5cm in depth (3/4″)
- longest is 8cm (3-1/4″)
- middle is 7cm (2-3/4″)
- shortest is 6cm (2-1/4″)
I hope you enjoyed this project, I absolutely adore what I do and spend many hours working on designs, new projects, new ideas and more.
