How To Make a Fold Flat Storage or ‘Worry’ Box

How To Make a Fold Flat Storage or ‘Worry’ Box – #1 Stampin’ Up! UK Demonstrator Pootles

I love to create boxes and bags, this is not new information to anyone. I also love to read. I read a lot of books. I can’t go to sleep at night without reading a dozen pages, or more!

I can read any kind of fiction (except fantasy or anything graphic and gory!). And it was recently while reading a book by Helen Rolfe (The Boathouse by Stepping Stone Bay) that I came up with this idea. (great author, love her books, Heritage Cove is a brilliant series)

The main character, when she was younger, would write down her ‘worries’ on a piece of paper and then tuck them into a jam jar. She then at a later date, would open it, read her ‘worries’ and if those things no longer worried her, she would throw them away. Or if they did, tuck them back away, or deal with them.

I thought that was such a great way of compartmentalising things that worry us, some are more trivial than others, and some drain our energy. So I decided to make my own version of a ‘worry jar’ but in box form!

Of course, if you don’t want to write things down and tuck them away, you can add decorations to this to perhaps make a storage box or even a gift box.

It’s a larger variation on my Fold Flat Desk Tidy I made last month with my team. And this one uses a New Colour! It’s showing off Copper Clay, one of the 2023-2025 in colours.

I hope you like the project, and if you’re a reader too, please share some of the authors or books you’ve enjoyed.

I, too, like to read before going to sleep. My favorites are Nicholas Sparks and Tracie Peterson. Tracie’s books are also somewhat historical. I also read others, but those are my favs. Lovely boxes, too!
