How To Make a Tent Box plus Scissor Cleaning Tips – #1 Stampin’ Up! UK Demonstrator Pootles
So, you know when you’re in your craft space, and then you discover that someone has made your scissors all gunky and gungy? And then you need to clean them?
That happened today!
I had a prototype project sat to one side, and I decided to finish it off and then film it, but it was only when I came to the actual filming, that I discovered I had gungy scissors.
So along with filming a great little project, using Les Shoppe, I give you scissor cleaning tip using Brake Cleaner!
I know, I know, you’re getting it all today!
But scissor cleaning aside, I do hope you like my little project. It’s rather lovely!

Thanks for the video
The written instructions for the scoring and marking seems to be different from what you are saying on the video which one should I follow please
Fabulous , thanks for sharing . Hope you feel better soon . I’m married to a mechanic so have been using brake cleaner for years . It’s great for cleaning glass cutting mat too 🙂
Great project.
Who knew, brake cleaner would be so great on things that aren’t brakes.
Thanks for the project and tip.
Your scoring measurements are not the same as your written ones, not sure what happened on that point. Great tip about the brake cleaner for cleaning your scissors.
I don’t have access to brake cleaner, but here in Pennsylvania, I use lighter fluid. It’s inexpensive, and it takes goo off everything–book labels, labels on glass, scissors, knives, you name it. It doesn’t leave a residue. I take grease off the floor with it!
Just love a tent box done loads you are brilliant . Glad you feeling better X
