Make a Quick Card using BRAND NEW Shining Christmas Paper – #1 Stampin’ Up! UK Demonstrator Pootles

Happy Monday Everyone!

I hope you’re well, and I hope you had a great weekend.

We took our 2nd oldest son, Luke, off to University on Sunday and I have to admit, it was full of emotions. So proud of him and his opportunity to move on in his life to a brand new chapter, but also a little sad for me that I won’t get to see him every day.

So it was a funny one for me, but when I got home, I immediately filmed this project for you (I’d made my first sample earlier in the week!)  but then right as I got to the end, Luke called! So I got off the video and picked up the phone. I’d carefully put away all his kitchen equipment for him, including the ‘kitchen scissors’ and he couldn’t find them! So even the modern man leaving home still needs his Mum!

Anyway, on to the tutorial. I have 3 card projects coming up for you this week, and Oliver (our youngest!) has decided that this is his favourite because it is ‘very busy’ on the pattern! So that’s why I chose this one first!

It uses the Brand New Shining Christmas paper that I received in the week and as promised on the video, I dived right in!

I love a simple card. I don’t really do complicated cards, and I love to late the paper do the talking. And like many folk, I need quick cards more often than not, so just paper and then the gorgeous Christmas Classics stamp set for detail and sentiment, and it’s a great quick card.

And to the other Mamas out there who are sending their children off to University for the first time, do you need some tissues too? I’m going through them at a rapid rate of knots!
