A Beary Christmas Walk In The Forest Card And Talk of Change! – #1 Stampin’ Up! UK Demonstrator Pootles
Happy Friday everyone!
I am currently up to my ears in crafting supplies for our team event this weekend.
We have 2 full days of crafting, fun, games, laughter, raffles and more! And I couldn’t be more excited.
Or exhausted!
I have created 9 projects for the team to make over the weekend, and as I type this, my printer is going in to overdrive printing off all the instructions, and there are piles of cardstock and paper and ribbon everywhere!
I’m sharing a rather sweet project with you today. I wanted to use the new Walk In The Forest philanthropic paper, and as it pairs so perfectly with the Beary Christmas suite, it made sense to include that too.
And while I was fussy cutting trees, I had a little chatter about some changes coming to my working world.
I’ve been a demonstrator for 10 and a half years to the day! Yes, that’s a co-incidence and not designed, but it’s a perfect time to make some changes to what and where I share projects with you.
For 8.5 years, I shared projects with you, 7 days a week, every week. But 2 years ago, I decided to take out the static blog posts of cards as I really felt my team needed me more and to work with them more.
I had the best laid plans to keep sharing projects on social media, but life does often get in the way, and as they weren’t to a set ‘schedule’ they fell by the wayside a little.
However, after a surprise revelation in the summer where I discovered I could create Reels and Shorts very easily, without worry of the sound in the house, and that coupled with the desire to create more and share more, born from a reminder of how much I’ve missed doing all that creating and sharing, I started to work on a feasible plan to share more.
And after a fair few weeks of reflection and consideration, I have worked out that I can actually share more with you all just with a simple change.
I will continue to do ‘longform’ videos, such as this below. That will now be twice a week on a Monday and Friday.
In the 3 days between, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, I will have Reels and Shorts. You can see the reels on facebook/instagram/pinterest/tiktok but you can also see them on YouTube too!
Plus, my Blog will still be active with photos and video links too
Shorts and reels are typically just 60 seconds long (though of course, it takes a lot longer than that to film and edit!) but it means that I can film while I create and create while I film, without worrying about noise in the background, the time of day/night I’m creating, or have to consider just how much I dither when I’m crafting! I can edit all that out, and just leave you with the good bits!
I’m really excited for the change, it will mean I can create and share more with you and more often too!
That’s gotta be a good thing, right?
And I’m excited for the projects I’m sharing too. The reels will sometimes be a variation of a past project, other times they will be brand new. I don’t know for sure until I get at my craft desk and hit ‘record’ on my camera!
And that’s just so much fun!
I have pretty much all of October ready to share, 20+ projects, but this does also allow me to be more ‘on the fly’ with announcements or promotions or special offers.
Here’s to a brand new Pootles!

Love making ALL your projects. Have enjoyed checking your Blog every day. Sounds like the only downside with this change is that your Blog will not be as active. Since I don’t do fb, Instagram, etc. your Blog is important to me. Good wishes for you as you move forward.
