A Beautiful Mother’s Day Card Idea using Notes of Nature

A Beautiful Mother’s Day Card Idea using Notes of Nature – #1 Stampin’ Up! UK Demonstrator Pootles

I have to confess it now, I’m addicted to the Notes of Natures stamp set.

Last week I shared my customer thank you cards using it, and today, I’m using it in a slightly different way, as a nod to some of my card making ‘of old’.

If any of you have been with me since my early days as a demo from 10 years ago, you’ll perhaps remember my love of the stamp set Gorgeous Grunge and the punches Petite Petals and our other little floral punches that we had.

I was sad to see the stamp set retire years ago, as I know many of you were, but as I was playing with Notes of Nature recently, I realised that there were some similarities and I wondered if I could replicate a card from the past.

So I chose this one from May 2014 and I love the result!

It was nice to take a little trip down memory lane, but also to play with techniques I used to use a lot back then. Sometimes it’s nice to remember our early days, and as I wasn’t a card maker before I joined, and I still think I’m a novice at it, it was fun to play and create something like that again!

I did make a few changes to my second card, but I do rather like them both!

Anyway, I hope you have a lovely day, and perhaps you’ll take a walk down memory lane too!
