Simple ‘Cheats’ Watercolour Card using Blueberry Bunches – #1 Stampin’ Up! UK Demonstrator Pootles

Don’t forget, we had a Clearance Rack refresh this morning!
I think there is definitely a place for ‘cheating’ with crafting, and today I’m showing you my watercolour cheat!
I pulled out the Blueberry Bushel stamp set and laid down both main images on basic white paper with Stazon ink. This part is crucial if you’re introducing water and watery ink!
Then I got one of our water painters and splodged some Blueberry Bushel ink onto a clear block to make a watered down version of the colour.
And here comes the fun. Just splosh it onto the areas you want in that colour.
Don’t worry about going out of the lines, it’s about getting colour on the paper, in a slightly messy fashion.

Then I did the same with some Shaded Spruce for the leaves. I do feel I needed to have it a little darker than it shows on camera. Or rather, darker than it dried….
But I think that’s a fun way to cheat at watercolouring an image!
Now, go, have a play, do the same. You’ll love it!
