#1 Stampin’ Up! UK Demonstrator Pootles – When Journals and Stampin’ Up! Stickers Collide!
I’m not sure if I’ve particularly shared before, but I love to write in notebooks. I brain dump ideas, I write plans. Sometimes I just talk about my day. There’s all sorts of stuff that gets written down. Not every day, most days, but it’s not a diary. Just a space for plans and thoughts!
I’ve always had collections of notebooks around, and obviously as a paper crafter, I sometimes like to bring the two things together.
I’ve not really scrapbooked at all, but I do love the papers and stickers we have. And knowing just how popular Journalling has become in recent years/months, I thought I would share how I combine the 2.
I do know that there are people who want to start journalling, but find filling a page with their thoughts a little intimidating. I get it. Notebooks and journals are usually about an A5 size, and that’s 30 lines of text to fill….
So what I tend to do, to take away that intimidation, I just scatter a handful of stickers around the page, and then fill in the gaps. I don’t particularly use them as demarcation lines/zones, or anything like that. I just put them on wherever makes sense, and just fill in the gaps. They’re not always relevant to what I’m going to write in there, sometimes they’re just cute. And the only person seeing it is me, so it doesn’t really matter!
Of course, I’m not going to share all of my completed journal pages, no-one needs to see that, but I did add a couple of completed pages from earlier in the month, just to give you an idea.
And yes, I love using the stickers, and yes, I’ve completed most of those pages now!
So this isn’t a how you ‘should’ use stickers in a journal, it’s how you ‘could’ use them if you want to break into journalling, but without the fear factor of thinking ‘I don’t have 30 lines worth of stuff to write down’
Hope that helps if you want to have a bash of journalling, or you simply love our sticker sheets!

Great idea Sam! I struggle to write a lot of ideas or text. Your pages are something I can do.
Thanks for the inspiration.
Sue
The idea of simply scattering stickers and dotting comments or ideas hugely appeal Sam!!! As always you lead by encouragement and kindness.
