#1 Stampin’ Up! UK Demonstrator Pootles – Papercraft Unboxing and Health & Surgery Update

Hi Everyone!

I have a long long video today for you. Mostly because I did a lot of shopping in our demo pre order for the January catalogue and Online Exclusives, but also because I’m sharing an update as to what’s happening with my health, and that I’m going for surgery tomorrow.

Long story short, I have thyroid issues, a lump has been found, traditional biopsies aren’t giving us a result, so it’s a full thyroidectomy for me!

I’m going to be out of action for anything from 2 to 4 weeks, with a full recovery from the surgery in about 3 months (hopefully), but further long term treatment is diagnosis dependent.

I do explain more in the video, as I also have level 4 endometriosis which, at the time of typing, I’m awaiting a consultation on that (it’s happening between me typing this and having surgery on the 12th!).

But as for the video, oh my goodness. Apparently I ordered a lot of paper! A lot a lot!

I am so excited for this catalogue, there’s so much in there and I’m thoroughly enjoying creating reels and shorts.

You can see all my short videos either on YouTube HERE or my Facebook page or my Instagram page. The measurements are always in the description boxes!

And the reels are allowing me to continue creating and sharing, without putting pressure on myself to film only at certain times of the day. The quietest times of the day are when I’m sleeping and resting, so that leaves only noisy times. Not conducive to filming a tutorial, but perfect for a short or reel!

Anyway, I won’t talk too much more. My surgery is the 12th of the 12th and 12.30pm (couldn’t make that up could you?!) and while I have got projects filmed through for the next few weeks, I’m hoping that my static facebook and instagram posts will suffice if I need a longer recovery time.

Love you all

S x

I have been enjoying all your videos, and I am sending good thoughts as you recover from the surgery.
I’m in the United States, suburbs of Chicago, Illinois.
I had my thyroid removed two years ago and honestly, it really wasn’t terrible. My surgeon was awesome and I just stayed overnight in the hospital. I was lucky, no cancer, and I am grateful for that. Now just one little pill daily, and the scar isn’t even visible!
Please don’t stress over this, you will be fine and will enjoy a Happy Christmas.
Look forward to all the great things you will achieve in the new year.
    God Bless you.
