South Hill Designs & Stampin’ Up! Sunday Watercolour Notecards Tutorial
I can’t believe how fast we have come around to a Sunday again!
Doesn’t time fly!
Today’s project is a little different for me. Well it is in terms of not having a locket to go with it, but a few South Hill Designs bits and bobs that have inspired my collection of cards today.
I love the whole watercolour wash look that’s so popular right now, and decided to see if I could recreate the same but without the mess of watercolour (me plus water is a dreadful combination as far as crafting is concerned!)
I think it’s a pretty good representation of the notecards (back of the photo) that I was gifted by South Hill Designs, and I love the simplicity of the cards that I’ve made, and that you can make any sort of statement with the wording on the front and a swap around of colours.
And tied up with string? We all love parcels tied up with string don’t we….
My products today that I have used are the 2013-2015 In Colours in the Cardstock, Ink and Baker’s Twine. I also used the Work of Art stamp set for the splash of colour, the Project Life Remember This stamp set for the wording plus my trusty Heat Gun, Versamark (super clean dedicated for clear embossing…) and Clear Embossing Powder.
Enjoy the video, and see you soon! Oh and don’t forget to visit my South Hill Designs blog to see what other beautiful things I was given when I was in America!

[…] When I first seen this sketch is was totally stumped as to what to do as I don’t have many ways of creating a circle or half circle that big. I also wasn’t sure what the focal point of the card should be. I had just received a new stamp set with some cute critters in it but I don’t have the colors I want to colour them in the way I want so that was out. Then I remembered how I had gotten some clear heat embos powder recently and thought why not try that cool technique that I seen Sam (aka Pootles) using in one of her videos, which you can find here.
