Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Pootles - Strips of Stampin' Up! paper and a little Me = Grateful stamping! Close up

Oh I have a fun project for you today! It’s a sort of use it up challenge, except I wasn’t doing that. I was merrily hacking into full size sheets of paper *waits for the sharp inhalations of breath around the world*

Yes I’m ruthless as far as paper is concerned. I can’t chop into it fast enough. Hoarding it is not something in my vocabulary! However, neither is hanging onto scraps so I’m strange on both those things!

But I do understand that others are fans of keeping strips and edges of paper, so I wanted to create something that would use those up.

Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Pootles - Strips of Stampin' Up! paper and a little Me = Grateful stamping!

I’ve cut 4 strips each of Blushing Bride and Rose Red background paper. I kept mine at 1cm each, but for the Imperial folk, go for about 3/8″ for yours.

There wasn’t a definitive length. I just roughly laid them in place and then hacked with my scissors! Yes, I’m unconventional at the best of times!

I love the finish of it. It’s fun and different and with the stamping from Me=Grateful and a little flower all set on Black cardstock, well you’ve got a striking card right there!

Hope you have a great Sunday, whatever you’re upto!

S xx

That’s a good card. I don’t keep little scraps either, except white. I do not feel bad to toss cut paper in the recycling bin, though sometimes there is a piece that is a bit bigger…then I might keep it or feel guilty tossing it out. I keep a box under my crafting table to use as a trash can. I sometimes find myself digging through it looking for just a little piece of paper so I don’t have to cut into a big one! 🙂
