I’m very much a paper girl. The more I have in my craft zone, the happier I am!
The moment I spotted the International Bazaar DSP, I knew I had to have it, and I knew what I wanted to do with it.
Stylish Notebook Covers!
But I didn’t want to just rip off an old cover and replace it with a new one, I wanted to make it more than that, almost like opening the cover of a novel, with ideas and dreams to be written down inside.
This was a very easy make, the best, in my very humble opinion!
I started with an A6 notepad (available just about everywhere!) as my base notepad, it has a standard 100 sheets of paper in it, top tearing.
With a sheet of Gumball Green cardstock, measuring 9inches by 5 & 3/4 inches, I scored it at 4 & 3/8 of an inch and again at 4 & 5/8 of an inch.
Then I took some In Colour 2012-2014 DSP in Gumball Green and matted it first at 5.5 by 4inches for the largest area, flipped another sheet and matted that at 3 & 7/8 by 3 & 2/8 of an inch.
The final layer was a piece of the International Bazaar DSP cut down at 3 & 5/8 by 3 inches.
I do tend to work a lot ‘by eye’ for most of my projects, but these are going to a craft fayre with me soon, and I made half a dozen in one sitting, so I needed to be accurate with my measurements!
It’s a quick, easy, and stylish project. I like it very much, and I hope you do too!
And of course, it doesn’t need to be just International Bazaar and Gumball Green cardstock, it could be as wide as your imagination allows…
